How Hive works
Hive rewards holders in the assets they actually want to own. Instead of simply earning more $HIVE, holders earn tokenized stocks and cryptocurrencies from a catalog of hundreds of eligible assets — chosen by them, delivered automatically.
The short version
- Buy and hold $HIVE. Every buy and sell in the Hive pool pays a 4% fee, collected in ETH inside the pool — $HIVE itself has no tax on transfers.
- Trading fees feed the Hive. 2.5% of every trade goes to the rewards pot, 0.5% to the daily Hive League prize, 1% to the team.
- Build your Hive. Choose up to 10 tokenized stocks and/or cryptocurrencies from Hive's library of eligible assets.
- Each choice becomes a Hive Cell. Your Cells make up your personalized basket and determine which assets you receive.
- Don't want to choose? Use the default Hive. Holders who don't customize their Cells automatically receive the 10 best-performing eligible stocks and cryptocurrencies of the previous 24 hours.
- Your Hive stays yours. Once you customize your Cells, your selections stay active for every future payout until you change them.
- Earn automatically. Every day the pot buys the assets in everyone's Hive and eligible holders receive their share straight in their wallet. No claiming, no staking.
Your Hive
Think of your Hive as your personalized rewards portfolio. You can fill up to 10 Hive Cells, each one a tokenized stock or cryptocurrency you want to earn. A Hive could contain:
NVDA · AAPL · TSLA · AMZN · META · BTC · ETH · SOL · DOGE · XRP
But no two Hives have to look the same. You could build an all-stock Hive, an all-crypto Hive, mix blue-chip stocks with major cryptocurrencies, lean into higher-risk assets, or create your own combination from the hundreds of supported assets. Every payout is split equally across your Cells.
Building it
Connect a wallet on My Hive, tap the cells, pick your assets, and save. Saving is one transaction signed by your wallet — only you can change your Hive, and gas on Robinhood Chain is a fraction of a cent. Changes apply from the next payout.
Eligibility
You are paid if you hold at least the minimum balance (10,000 $HIVE at launch) when the daily snapshot is taken. Your share is proportional to your balance. To make flash-loan tricks pointless, you are paid on the smaller of your balance at the snapshot and your balance at payout time.
The default Hive
You don't have to customize anything to participate. Every holder who hasn't created a custom Hive automatically receives the default Hive: the 10 eligible tokenized stocks and cryptocurrencies with the best price performance over the previous 24 hours, measured from each asset's own pool prices recorded on-chain. It is recomputed every day by the contracts themselves — nobody picks it by hand. If you later want something different, customize your Cells and future payouts follow your new selection.
Built around choice
The idea behind Hive is simple: most reward tokens decide what you earn. Hive lets you decide. One holder might want Bitcoin and Ethereum. Another might prefer NVIDIA, Apple and Tesla. Someone else might want a mix of stocks, crypto and higher-risk plays. Hive turns the fees generated by $HIVE trading into a portfolio that each holder controls.
The fee, and why it's in ETH
Tokens that skim a percentage of every transfer get flagged by wallets and by Uniswap (any transfer fee shows a warning; 15% or more shows a red one). Hive collects its fee inside its Uniswap V4 pool instead, with a hook, and always in ETH. Two things follow: $HIVE transfers are plain ERC-20 transfers, and the protocol never sells $HIVE to fund anything — it only ever holds ETH and the assets it buys for you.
The fee is capped at 4% in the contract itself; the owner can lower it, never raise it. With the pool's 0.3% LP fee, an ordinary trade stays under the 5% price-difference line where Uniswap starts warning.
How payouts run
- Once a day a keeper snapshots every eligible holder, their balance and their Cells, and adds up demand per asset.
- The pot buys each asset once, in bulk, at market price — with a floor of 97% of the asset's 30-minute average price for league-eligible assets.
- Each holder is pushed their share of every asset in their Hive. Amounts under about ten cents are banked and paid once they add up; anyone can trigger that payout.
- If an asset can't be bought that day (a paused stock token, an empty pool), the ETH that would have bought it is paid to the people who chose it, as ETH. Nothing is lost.
- Anyone can run the cycle if the keeper is six hours late, so payouts don't depend on us.
The daily Hive League
Every UTC day, the Hive composition with the best average 24-hour price change wins that day's prize (the 0.5% slice). Scoring uses each asset's 30-minute time-weighted price from its Uniswap V3 pool at the start and end of the day, so a single trade cannot fake a win. A Hive is eligible when it has three to ten league-eligible assets and was saved before the day started. Everyone holding the winning composition shares the prize pro-rata; whoever submits the final winner earns a 1% tip, which keeps settlement permissionless. Unclaimed prizes roll into a later day after 30 days.
What the contracts can and cannot do
| Can | Cannot |
|---|---|
| Lower the fee or change how it is split (owner) | Raise the fee above 4%, or take any fee on transfers |
| Add or remove assets from the library, override the default Hive (owner) | Move ETH or assets anywhere except to holders, the league prize and the team's 1% |
| Run or delay the daily cycle (keeper) — anyone can run it if the keeper is six hours late | Skip a holder, change a holder's Hive, or mint $HIVE |
| Collect LP fees from the locked liquidity to the team wallet | Withdraw the locked liquidity before the unlock date |
The supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 $HIVE, minted once. There is no pause, no blacklist, no mint, no burn function.

Questions
Do I need to claim or stake?
No. Rewards are pushed to your wallet. League bonuses can be claimed on the League page, and the keeper pushes unclaimed ones after settlement.
When do payouts arrive?
Once a day. The countdown on the home page shows the next run. If the pot is empty (no trades), the day is skipped and the pot carries over.
Can I change my Hive?
Any time. The new selection applies from the next payout; for the league it counts from the next day.
What if I sell part of my balance?
You are paid on the smaller of your balance at the snapshot and at payout. Dropping below the minimum removes you from that day's payout.
Can the assets I chose change price before I get them?
Yes — purchases happen at payout time at market price, with the 97% floor described above for league-eligible assets.
Where does the data on this site come from?
Every figure is read from the contracts on Robinhood Chain in your browser. The USD estimate uses a public ETH price feed.
Risks, plainly
Tokenized stocks are not brokerage shares: no voting rights, no dividends, and the issuer can pause them. Liquidity on a new chain can be thin and prices can move sharply. Smart contracts can have bugs; the code is verified on the explorer and tested against a fork of the live chain, but nothing here is financial advice.
